Yellowstone was a ZOO! So we let the kids see Old Faithful and then we were out of there. I used the opportunity to be a little different shoot my Yellowstone pictures almost exclusively with my 70-300 DO IS. A telephoto perspective of 1/100th of YellowStone since all we did was walk around Old Faithful.
Montana or bust
It was a fabulous trip! Almost a 3 week road trip and I give the kids 9 out of 10! They were great. What an amazing amount of scenery we saw and all of it was breathtaking. Just a few bummers…. We hit 2 deer with within an hour of each other on the first night… Kerry’s camera broke the night before we left; had to buy another one… My new Canon 40D died on the 2nd day in Glacier!! I just got it back from Canon service on June 14th… We’ll just leave that topic alone…. Canon Support has been AWESOME though. Luckily I brought my old Digital Rebel with me. There is no comparison in quality since the old Rebel is 1st generation digital, but at least I was able to capture pictures of the most spectacular family vacation ever!!!
